Terms and Conditions

Only individuals that have been properly issued with a user account by the Department are permitted to access or use this website and the Department’s Application Programming Interfaces (‘APIs’) (collectively, ‘the Developers Portal’). By using or accessing the Developers Portal, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

Users must not share their user account ID or password with anyone. You must notify the Department if there is any unauthorised use or access to your user account.

Users must only use the Developers Portal for purposes which are relevant to that user's work, including the developing and testing of software to integrate with the Department’s IT systems. Users must not undertake any actions that may negatively impact on the performance, availability or data integrity of the Developers Portal. This website, and all material made available through the Developers Portal is the property of the Department (unless indicated to the contrary) and must not be used for any illegal or unlawful purposes.

Users must use and access the Developers Portal in accordance with any instruction or direction given by the Department (including in respect to software and hardware). Users must not introduce any code into the Department’s IT systems without the Department’s written approval.

The Department may suspend or terminate a user's access immediately, without notice and for any reason, including where the Department suspects or determines that there has been unauthorised access or misuse of a user account, or an actual or suspected breach of these Terms and Conditions.

The Department is not responsible for any costs, loss, or legal liability (whether direct or indirect) arising from the use (or inability to use) the Developers Portal by any user. The Department takes no responsibility for any problems, failures or technical malfunctions of any telephone networks, online systems, servers, software or any other object related to the website, including any damage resulting from any access of material available through the Developers Portal, and to the fullest extent legally permissible, expressly disclaims any statutory or other warranty, including but not limited to guarantees of quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose.

The Department does not promise any specific results from use of the Developers Portal or that they will be available to users at any particular time or for any period of time or that they will remain suitable for use. The Department may change the features or functionality of the website or the APIs.

Users indemnify the Department (and its officers, employees and agents) against any cost or liability it incurs in relation to any claim or action arising out of a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any wilful, unlawful or negligent act or omission by you in connection with your use of the Developers Portal.

The Department may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time, without prior notice to you. Use of the Developers Portal after the date on which these terms have changed constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The effective date will notify you whether there have been any changes to the Terms and Conditions since your last use of the Developers Portal, and the Department will use reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes made from time to time.
